2018 Life Goals

2018 Life Goals

Be more relaxed

I mean come on, how hard is it to relax?! If you know me (Mum and Jordan especially) you’ll know I am in general quite a stressy person. Not really sure why, I just feel stress comes on really easily and quickly and I hate that about myself. Any little thing like someone breathing heavy, or big large crowds, or my dog being annoying stresses me out, I know it isn’t good for me, so that’s why in 2018 I am going to really look into ways to de-stress. Im looking into drinking Camomile tea, having more baths, meditating/ listening to calming podcasts etc. Hopefully some of these things will relieve some stress.

If anyone has any tips or ideas, please drop me a comment below. I would love to hear your ideas!

Explore more

I really want to explore more of the UK. I can’t believe how few places I’ve actually been to given that there are some really beautiful places to go and see. When Benny is better, I want to find some cute little cottages and dog-friendly places to stay in and go on long walks just us 3. One place I really want to go is the Cotswolds and stay in amazing tree-houses. Let’s see where we end up rising this year.

Read more books (I say more, one will do)

The thing is, I really enjoy reading. I actually find it relaxing (hmmm sound familiar? Maybe I should add that to point one), but I just don’t do it enough. In fact, the only time I ever open a book is on holiday, and even I hardly ever get to finish it. This year I would like to read some really gripping books, so if you’ve got any good recommendations, please leave them below :).

Invest time on planning

I must admit, I am quite a good planner, and I do really enjoy planning and being organised, but I feel like I could plan more. Especially with my blog, I got quite sloppy towards the end of 2017 and I want to ensure this year I have posts, photos and ideas planned ahead of time so I don’t run out.

Excel in my career

I really want to progress and excel in my career. After all, it’s how you earn a living right? and I want to learn as much as I can so I can continue to develop. Career is such a big part of life for me, all my family have been very successful in their careers, and I, myself am very driven when it comes to succeeding, so here’s to a successful 2018!

Support others more

I feel more recently there is a lot more support in the blogosphere, probably because times are tough and it’s hard to stand out in a crowded market, but support means everything and I know because I am so grateful to anyone who supports me. I just feel like I want to support people even more this year. I know how excited I get when someone mentions me in their Instagram story, for mentions me in a FF on twitter, or even mentions me in a blog post – so I want to keep on giving people their little moments of glory, because every one of you deserves it.

    nice post!!

I have a million book recommendations haha, my goal was to read 50 last year but only got to 46 sooo close!
https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/54595490-sophie-hutchings – check out goodreads as its really easy to find books similar to your interests. If you want easy reads (chick lit, love etc) Try Sarah Morgan or Kristan Higgins… or even Nicholas Sparks! One of my favourite authors is Denise Grover Swank, she does a great chick lit Series called the Wedding Pact but also writes a brilliant mystery/murder series about a character called Rose Gardener who has physic abilities – quick, witty, great plot and easy read… Or if you want business books I recommend Busy by Tony Crabbe, anything Gary Veynerchuk writes too.

I really agree with the last point. I think all of us as bloggers should try to engage with and support other bloggers as it’s so difficult recently to grow in the blogosphere. I hope your pup gets well soon, so you guys can explore the UK more and I wish you happy and successful 2018!

    Lots of love,
