It’s that time of the year again, where couples plan the romantic getaways, the cooked meals and the breakfasts in beds (well if it fell on a weekend maybe as we all have to work!).
Don’t get me wrong, as much as I like celebrating V Day, it is actually the day after my Birthday, so V Day often gets forgotten about for me (boo hoo). I always get “your birthdays presents are for Valentine’s Day too” GREAT. Also, who else loves the thought of receiving flowers? It’s not even receiving the flowers, its the thought that counts. Andddddd guess what my boyfriend says about flowers….
“Why would I want to spend £30 on something that’s going to die?!” – Can you see I have a romantic one!?
So unfortunately for me, I don’t really get treated that way, so I’ll have to treat myself right?
Thus post isn’t sponsored by LUSH or anything (I WISH), but for me, a way to relax and unwind is to soak in the bath accompanied with something from LUSH. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen I have recently become obsessed with the shop and I place an order pretty much on a monthly basis now so I make sure my stash is full stocked.
So anyway, here’s a few of the Valentine’s LUSH range I recommend you buying to treat yourself (or maybe even hint for someone spesh to buy it for you ;))
This colour is just beaut – it’s actually a lot more florescent in real life, BRIGHT pink, and it smells insane! This is only £3.50 so I don’t think it’s too badly priced. They claim this is balancing and restorative, and the bath bomb itself includes 7 rose buds. So if you don’t mind scooping them out of the bath when you’re finished then this is a win. It includes lemon oil and jasmine, and you can really pick these scents out so it’ll leave you smelling super fresh!
This looks like such a pretty product, and I really want to go and pick this one up! (maybe today will be the day). This soap contains 23 ingredients (impressive huh) and it includes ingredients such as rose water, coconut oil, orange oil etc that make this particular product uplifting and protecting, calming and soothing. This is £5.95, so some might say quite expensive for a soap, but for LUSH this is pretty standard, and having used their soaps before, they tend to be very long lasting so you’re getting a lot for your money!
So most of you Lushies will have already tried this product, or at least know about it as a lot of people rave about this one. Funny enough I haven’t tried this at all yet, so I’m so glad I picked it up. I am loving bubble bars since trying out the Christmas special Magic Wand, which sadly is only sold at Christmas :(, but I can imagine this bubble bar will be of a similar consistency and have similar properties so I can’t wait to indulge in this. This one includes Lavender Oil, so is super calming and smells amazing – perfect for bath time. it also contains Neroli Oil, which is uplifting and toning. This is only £4.50 which I think is pretty good, seeing as I reckon I can get at least 3 uses out of this!
How cute is this!? It’s also hugeeee! Just how I like my bath bombs. When this melts it produces the most gorgeous mix of pink, purple, blue an yellow colours (just like a rainbow awwwww). For £4.25 you also get a lot for your money, but this one only last one time sadly :(. This one contains very citrusy scents including lemon oil and sweet orange oil so this smells really refreshing and the ingredients of this bath bomb make this a restorative, uplifting, toning and cleansing product.
If you haven’t tried one of LUSH’s lip scrubs then you need to, especially if you suffer from dry, chapped lips in the winter months. They are just so good and stripping off that horrible flaky annoying skin (ew) and leaves your lips feeling super smooth and flake free! This is priced at £5.95 but lasts forever!! A little goes a long way put it that way. It is basically a blend of caster sugar, salt and cocoa butter with some scented oils to make it a little more pleasant!
Have you tried an of these for this range before? Are there any others you are after this Valentine’s day. Also, what are your plans? I’d love to know!
