How I Edit My Photos – Updated Version

I’m back again!!!!

Hope if you’re reading this you are doing well πŸ™‚

I am going to keep this post really short and sweet because I went into loads of detail on my last Photography post which you can find right hereeeeeeee.

I’m going to be honest, I feel I have made things so much easier for myself, so wanna share this with you in case you are wondering how I edit photos, and quite a few people have been asking me questions since my last post.

Editing

So all you need to edit is just the following:

  • Your phone
  • Instagram

I still do not have a fancy camera (I am waiting for the right time), but to be honest, I don’t feel like I need one at the moment as I’m dealing just fine with my iPhone 7!

Soooo you don’t necessarily need an expensive camera, butΒ I always make sure I take photos when its nice and light so it makes editing photos so much easier and it allows you to get a nice crisp, clean photo.

Once I take the photo, I then upload the photo onto Instagram and start the editing process…

  • Brightness – Between 40-50
  • Contrast – Around 15
  • Saturation – 10
  • Highlight – Around 35-40
  • Sharpen – 40-50

As you can see, the number have a range as it all depends on how bright and clear the photo is already, but you can judge it when it comes down to it!

And voilaaaa, the image is all good to go, to save it put your phone on airplane mode before you most and it automatically saves to your camera roll! – Genius. I actually got this tip from my girl Cally – Her blog is insane and you can see her post here!

That’s all I do, and most of the time, the picture is good to go!

You can see the before and after images here:

As you can see, even just by using the editing options on the Instagram app you can achieve a much brighter, whiter and cleaner looking photo. It actually makes me feel sick looking at the original image, it’s so awful! Amazing what a bit of brightness and highlighting can do!

If you follow me on Instagram, you many have noticed, I have become a bit obsessed with flowers and including pretty pink flowers in all my posts!

I use a mixture of fake and real ones (can you tell hmmmmm?) but obviously fake ones are a good investment as they don’t die, lavvvvvely!

You can pick up some good flowers from the likes of Aldi and Asda etc!

In terms of fake flowers, eBay is your babe.

You can find some of the flowers I’ve got here:

Peonies

Tulips

Sooooo, I hope this post was useful, and if you didn’t use Instagram editing already, you can give it a try!
