Happy new year everyone!!
I’m writing this post mainly because I wanted to share this book with you, not because my 2016 was bad at all and that I seriously need my 2017 to improve. In fact my 2016 was a great year, I started my job in late Feb working in Marketing, in July my boyfriend and I bought our first place and moved in, and a month and a half after we moved in we welcomed our gorgeous puppy Benny into our lives.
So actually 2016 was a fantastic year for me, obviously there were challenges and obstacles that I faced, but overall the good definitely outweighed the bad. I’m hoping my 2017 is as good, and who knows maybe it could be better!
This book by Jinny Ditzier is fantastic by the way. If you’re struggling to know what you want to do in the next year, this book encourages you to answer 10 key questions to guide you to be your best and live your life the way you REALLY want to live it. The tag line is ‘The 10 questions that will change your life forever’. I’d recommend buying it and reading it if you get a chance. You can buy it for £6.29 here.
For me, this year there’s nothing I want to necessarily change, but maybe I’d just like to do so here’s a few ideas I have.
1. Get a tattoo
So I haven’t got any tattoos, but I think I want one. Whenever I’m on holiday and I see girls with really nice tattoo’s it always spurs me on to get one, but I’m just being a wimp. If I sit down properly and understand what I’d like then maybe this is the year I get one.
2. Be more relaxed
I’m one of those girls who just can’t really relaxed and cares too much about everything so I’m always trying to impress. This needs to stop, i’ve realised you can’t make everyone happy, they’ll always be someone to moan about something or put you down, so I need to learn to be happy myself. I think more bubble baths and reading may help, so I’m happy about that.
3. Drink more water
I just don’t drink enough.
4. Make more time for people
This year has been manic because of moving further from home and my friends and family. This has been quite hard because I do miss my family and friends a lot, but it is so difficult to get some spare time to keep aside. This year I definitely want to create time for this as I think it is so important.
5. Save money!!!
I actually think this is the first year I have wanted to do this so much. As I have now moved out and have a mortgage and bills to pay for, and I still want/need all the latest make up and clothes, I REALLY need to save. I seem to think I am able to buy what I want and whenever I want to, but I really can’t. I’m still at the early stages of my career so I have a long way to go so savings are key.
Anyone got anything in particular they would like to achieve/give up/ do in 2017??
