Hey everyone, welcome back to another beauty post!
It feels like it’s been ages since I’ve spoken beauty, but I haven’t actually written a post like this so I thought I’d share with you my every day makeup look and list the products I’ve been using recently!
Honestly, I’m not actually that adventurous with my makeup, I tend to wear the same products day in day out, even if I do pick up new releases regularly. I’ve always got my eye on new products that are out and new bargain, but I’m deffo one of those girls who likes to be safe and stick with the same trusty items that I know will make me feel comfortable.
I only really venture to bolder makeup when I go out – and when I say go out, I don’t mean the usual stepping out the house to walk around after my dog to pick up his poo, I mean dressing up and going on a night out or a nice meal (once in a blue moon nowadays). I like to keep it this way, as I think it makes me feel good when I really make an effort and it’s noticeable, and realistically who actually has the time to do a full glam face every morning. I certainly don’t!
Anyway, so on to what I wear on a daily basis
I’ve actually spoken about this product before in a separate post as I came across this last year. I am still obsessed with it, and I actually need to buy another one. I love the new benefit concealer range, and the packaging is just pink heaven. This concealer is particularly thick and creamy, but it’s not too cakey as all. The thing I love about it is the high coverage it gives, and I find it perfect to applying both under my foundation (under the eyes) and also again (in a lighter shade) in top of foundation. It’s very long lasting and durable and I wouldn’t be without it!
I have recently tried this foundation after hearing a girl at work talk about it, and when I went to look on FeelUnique, I saw it was on offer for £18 so I found the right shade and bought it to try it out. In all honesty, this isn’t the type of consistency/coverage I would normally go for as I do like a full coverage, rather thick foundation as I like to make sure any blemishes are covered.
Oh, but this changed everything. For an every day foundation, this is just perfect. It is very light weight, and the consistency of the liquid is pretty fluid, but it does provide a good medium coverage I’d say. When the foundation dries, it dries matt, but it’s not drying at all and I think it gives off a very radiant look without looking too ‘done’ which is perfect for going to work or running errands etc!
I always used to just use a brow pencil or a brow kit to shape my eyebrows, but now I am loving the L’Oreal brow pomade. There are some more expensive pomade’s such as the ABH one but I really get on well with this one, and it’s under £10! It lasts so long and is so good as filling in your brows making them look super natural.
Ted Baker Blush
You may have seen around Christmas time I picked up the most amazing Ted Baker gift set that included a range of different makeup including this gorgeous blush. As much as I love the packaging (and that may be the main reason for buying) I also love the colour of this blush. It’s a mix of two different tones of pink and when combined gives a lovely rosy colour. I notice such a big difference when I add a bit of blush and instantly makes me look more alive! (it’s a must)
if you’re a lovely of cream based highlighters then this may not be for you. Although I do enjoy using a cream highlighter, I like to use this Make up Revolution powder one on a day to day basis It’s super easy to apply (using a fan brush) and it gives off such a nice glow. It’s not too much but then again it’s glowy enough for my liking. Definitely a goof purchase if you want an easy life in the morning!
If you are a makeup lover, you may have see Benefit’s new makeup release – the BADgal BANG mascara. I have been using this over the last week and it’s changed my lash game. The product applies so quickly and nicely onto your lashes, and instantly makes them looking longer and fuller. The jet black colour gives such a dramatic, yet also natural look. I love the long thin brush that can get to those lashes in the inner eye. I just love it, and I will continue to use this time and time again!
Then to finish off I am loving using the L’Oreal lip paints. They come in a range of different colours and dry matt, but I don’t think they’re drying at all – which is exactly what you don’t want with a lip product. I hope to buy some more in a range of colours soon as I love this for an every day look!
There we have my every day makeup look, and the products I use on a day to day basis. Do you use any of these too? What are your go-to’s daily?
