My go-to everyday nude lipsticks, and no…they’re not MAC!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I’ve just had the loveliest Sunday roast and now I am stuffed and chilling on the sofa, writing this for you.

I thought I wanted to share this with you because I’ve had a lot of compliments when I wear these two lipsticks and they are both really reasonably priced, oh and also just great products! I have also provided swatches at the end of the post for you to see the colour and texture.

Don’t get me wrong, I do love ya MAC Velvet Teddy’s, Blankety’s and Whirls, as they are great lipsticks, but sometimes you just want to try something slightly cheaper, especially for everyday wear.

My two faves to wear for work are:

Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick

This is SUCH a lovely lipstick, and the name says it all really. Although the product has a matt finish, it is creamy so does not leave your lips dry at all. Also, even for Β£6.99, the durability is really good and seems to last really long! I simply love these matt lipsticks, and this weekend I bought two more in shade 983 Beige Babe and Β 740 Coffee Craze. These are on offer at the moment, buy one and get one for half price! So worth trying out if you haven’t, get down to boots/superdrug now!

The other brand I’m loving is NYX and their various lipsticks/cremes

NYX Lip Lingerie

I bought mine from ASOS (linked above) and I got the Satin Ribbon shade, which is a lovely shade. This is a different texture to the Maybelline one as it is a wetter creme which dry’s matt like. With this product, I do find I need to reapply a couple of times during the day, as it is not as long lasting as the Maybelline one, but I really do like the shade and hope to buy some more soon!

Left is the NYX Lip Lingerie and right isΒ the Maybelline Creamy Matt Lipstick

Has anyone tried these two before? If so what are you thoughts?

If you haven’t already, I’d love it if you followed me on Bloglovin, Twitter and Instagram πŸ™‚

Great post. I have tried a different NYX lipstick and have loved them. I do agree though they aren’t that long lasting.
