So I’m back in 2019 with what I originally started out this blog for, beauty reviews and round ups. I haven’t provided you with many of these recently so I’m kicking off this year with a post about mascaras…because who doesn’t like their lashes looking long and voluptuous – and we all want to know which one will make it’s way into our makeup bag next.
So I ran a recent survey on my social channels as I wanted to find out what your favourite and most loved mascaras of 2018 were. It’s all well and good reading marketing messages about new and existing mascara brands but the truth is, it’s hard to know which one to go for as they all claim they’re ‘the best’. And what’s better than finding out what actually is the best than by asking you and getting more of an idea that way.
What Were The Best Mascaras Of 2018?
So amongst the likes of Charlotte Tilbury, Benefit, L’Oreal, Nars and NYX, the top three chosen by you are:
I have tried both of these mascaras, and both are a firm favourite of mine. I think Benefit is is a great brand for mascaras and although not high street prices, they are quite affordable and last quite a long time. If you like long, curly lashes then Roller Lash is for you, but if you want extra extra length, the BADgal BANG is amazing at creating super long lashes.
2. In 2nd place is the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara
At less than half the price of the Benefit Roller Lash, the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara is a great alternative that you can pick up on the high street. I have tried both the Maybelline one and the benefit one and they are pretty similar in the results they achieve. The brush tip is also very similar with the unique curve function, enabling you to really reach all areas of the eye. For £8.99 the Lash Sensational mascara is definitely worth a try if you haven’t already.
- So in first placed, making this your most loved mascara in 2018 is the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara
Surprisingly, this is one mascara that I haven’t had the chance to try yet, despite it being on my ‘to buy’ list. Maybe after writing this post, I better see what the hype is all about.
So have you tried any of these macaras before? If so which is your favourite? Or if it’s something else, what was your most loved mascara in 2018 that you’d recommend?
